Railway Stations
Stations are the critical infrastructure interface where pedestrians interact with heavy railway engineering. Their design dictates network capacity and passenger safety.

Platforms & Clearances
Platforms must be engineered to exact height and offset specifications relative to the track to minimize the stepping gap. Platform edges incorporate tactile paving for visually impaired passengers and defined clearance zones to keep passengers away from the aerodynamic forces of passing trains.
Passenger Circulation
Corridors, stairs, escalators, and lifts are sized based on complex flow calculations. The goal is to clear a platform of alighting passengers before the next train arrives, preventing dangerous overcrowding at the platform edge.
Canopies & Structures
Station canopies provide weather protection but must be structurally robust to withstand wind loading and aerodynamic pressure changes caused by high-speed trains passing through the station environment.
Information Systems
Customer Information Screens (CIS) and public address systems are integrated with the signalling and control centre data to provide real-time updates. Their placement is carefully planned to avoid creating passenger bottlenecks.
